    CEMA Releases Latest Equipment Statistics

    NAPLES, Fla.June 2008 orders for conveying equipment were up 41% from orders in May 2008, according to the Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association

    NAPLES, Fla.—June 2008 orders for conveying equipment were up 41% from orders in May 2008, according to the Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA).

    June numbers, however, reflect a decrease of 6% from those of June 2007. The 12-month index for booked orders in June represents a decrease of 1% from May 2008’s 12-month index.

    According to CEMA, shipments in June were up 5% from both May 2008 and June 2007. The 12-month index for shipments showed no change from May 2008’s 12-month index.
