Coldwater Creek (Sandpoint, Idaho), a retailer of women’s apparel, jewelry, gifts and accessories, has selected Clayco to construct a 385,000-sq.-ft. expansion to its distribution center in Parkersburg, W.Va.

Clayco (St. Louis) was the contractor on the original 366,000- sq.-ft. facility that includes offices, a call center, daycare center, dining facilities and a distribution center. The new project is expected to be completed in September 2006.

Mark Spraul, project manager for Clayco, said the company’s history with the original Coldwater Creek facility was beneficial to the team and the project owner. “Our knowledge of Coldwater Creek’s needs and concerns on the original project, plus our familiarity with local subcontractors, allowed us the opportunity to develop an aggressive schedule and a cost-effective approach to the project,” Spraul said.
