JONESBORO, Ark.—Colson Caster Corp., a manufacturer of standard and custom caster and wheel products, recently celebrated its third year without any workplace lost-time injuries.

Employees were treated to a lunchtime cookout to celebrate more than 750,343.77 hours of operation without injuries.

“This is quite an achievement for a busy engineering and manufacturing company, especially one of our size,” says Mary Hamrick, health and safety specialist for Colson. “In addition to the OSHA 300 Log posting, once we reach one million hours, the company also becomes eligible for an award from the Arkansas Department of Labor.”

The OSHA 300 Log of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses is a register of all workplace injuries or illnesses within a company or work group of more than 10 employees. Colson has more than 100 employees.

“Our average length of service here at Colson is more than 15 years,” says Hamrick. “It is this experience, workplace and company pride and sharing of responsibilities that contribute to our positive results.”
