IWIS® power and free conveyor chains available from SKF® feature optimized load distribution to convey, accumulate, single out, and accelerate pallets, containers, crates, and other materials in continuous transport. They allow for reliable positioning of goods at any point along the transport path without a need to stop and re-start the chain.

Among key features, “light-running rollers” significantly decrease the required drive power; offset roller arrangements reduce the load on chain guides by 50% for enhanced support and weight-carrying capability; and wax lubrication applied at links during assembly minimize maintenance and promote a cleaner system.

Normal speeds from 0.1 m/s to 0.5 m/s can be doubled without changing the chain speed using a simple acceleration rail offering the capability to easily separate goods along the route.
These chains exhibit excellent wear characteristics and can be specified in a wide range of shapes and configurations and with accessories to satisfy particular application needs. Standard rollers include hardened steel or anti-static plastic versions.
