"Metals & Plastics Partners in Northeast Manufacturing: New Technologies, Global Strategies, and Business Opportunities" is the conference theme for EASTEC 2004. The event is being cosponsored by a first-time partnership created to bring top-notch education to Northeast Region. Cosponsors are the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, the Society of Plastics Engineers, the American Plastics Council, Materials & Manufacturing Technology Network, the Greater Boston Manufacturing Partnership, and PMMA/SME. Sessions focusing on Plastics Processing & Advanced Materials, and Lean Manufacturing & Business Strategies are planned and speakers are now being confirmed. The event will take place May 25-27 at the Eastern States Expositions Grounds in Springfield, Massachusetts.
