CHALFONT, Pa—FMC TechnologiesAutomated Systems and RICO Equipment have signed a teaming agreement coveringsupply of heavy duty automated guided vehicle (AGV) systems servicing loadcapacities greater than 15 tons.
By joining forces, FMC Technologiesprovides the guided vehicle and host control hardware and software while RICOEquipment designs and builds the heavy duty vehicles. The first system delivered as a result of this collaborationis in successful operation and included a 30 ton capacity vehicle. The second system is currently beingdesigned and includes three 75 ton capacity vehicles.
