GREENVILLE, S.C.—FuelCellSouth will hold its fifth annual Southeastern Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Conference Apr. 28-30 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Greenville, S.C.

The conference theme this year is “Fuel Cell Markets: Here and Now.” The event will feature presentations on fuel-cell-powered electric lift and pallet trucks. Equipment suppliers, distributors and operators will share “hands-on” experience with fuel-cell-powered material handling equipment in actual industrial and warehouse operations.

Attendees from 11 southeastern states will come together to learn how fuel-cell power packs can provide constant and abundant power, increased productivity, reduced refueling times and extended run times. Presenters will show how power packs can eliminate environmental disposal and acid-spill problems.

“The industry presentation format showcases many commercial and municipal applications of fuel cells and helps foster collaboration at the local and regional levels," said Dr. John Van Zee, director of the National Science Foundation Industry/University Collaborative Research Center for Fuel Cells at the University of South Carolina.

FuelCellSouth is a nonprofit industry association formed as an outgrowth of the collaborative work between industry and researchers to identify opportunities for delivery of fuel-cell-based solutions to commercial and consumer markets. Its core mission is to foster awareness and create market opportunities for fuel cells in the southeastern U.S.
