General Electric’s Infrastructure has targeted security, generally, as a growth area, predicting an increase of 20% in its business this year. The unit has a suite of products complimentary to InVision’s.

Both parties heavily stress security synergies between the two. Particularly strong areas of use for the detection equipment include airport passenger and cargo operations as well as border crossing points.

News reports indicated that InVision was just awarded orders for $105 million in explosives detection systems by the Transportation Security Administration. Find General Electric Infrastructure at www.ge.com; InVision at www.invision-tech.com.
