Golden State Foods Company executives opened a new 270,000 sq.-ft. distribution center in City of Industry, Calif. It is the first new facility that has been opened in the McDonald's restaurant supply chain system in 10 years. The new distribution center will employ more than 300 people and serve 900 restaurants. Operating 362 days a year, they will ship 40 million cases of products each year.
Headquartered in Irvine, Calif., Golden State Foods is one of the world's largest diversified suppliers to the fast food industry. The $2.4 billion company has 2,400 employees worldwide.
