FORT WORTH, Texas - ID Technology introduced today the IDT Model 250a Automatic Label Applicator. This new addition to IDT’s popular 250 Series Printer Applicator line features a base labeling machine that easily and economically changes from apply-only to variable print and apply labeling. This innovative new product is perfect for companies seeking to automate their preprinted labeling or RFID tagging processes today, but who anticipate the need for variable print and apply labeling in the future.
The Model 250a applies labels, from one inch to seven inches, in top, bottom, side and corner wrap configurations. The applicator offers the flexibility to dispense labels at four, six, eight, ten or twelve inches per second. The Model 250a features a standard label roll size of 12.5 inch (OD) by 3 inch (ID) and the Apply-Only Module features a large, high tack drive roller to prevent label slipping and ensure precise label dispensing, even at high speeds.
The Model 250a bridges the gap to automatic label application using a Model 250 base unit with an Apply-Only Module in place of a print engine. ID Technology attaches the rugged Apply-Only Module using the standard bolt-on structure used on its print engines. To change to fully automatic print and apply labeling, users just need to replace a print engine or RFID print engine with the Apply-Only Module.
The Model 250a, which is built on the IDT 250 Printer Applicator frame, features the benefits of IDT’s modular design including “hot-swap” electronic, pneumatic and rewind modules and a full suite of application options.
