Machine vision software reads undamaged and damaged coded labels in many different environments.

Full release:

PIATI (Place It And Trace It) PNP is machine vision software that reads codes on packages.

The software works with a comprehensive vision application or serves as a fully integrated, standalone code reader. While designed to decipher well-marked ECC200 Data Matrix codes, the software delivers solid results under less than ideal conditions.

The software can run in an automatic mode. To improve performance under adverse conditions, information about relevant codes can be inputted and processed in advance to provide the software with better quality image data.

Currently available as a Microsoft’ Windows DLL and a Linux library, PIATI PNP software can be made compatible with other operating systems and implementation platforms. Licensing possibilities include per unit run-time, fixed price volume run-time, and source code options.

Typical applications for PIATI PNP powered products include the automatic decoding of data matrices that have been machine-marked (laser-scribed, laser printed, inkjet printed, electrochemically etched, etc.) on wafers/PCBs/substrates, glass lenses, molds and containers, electronic components and carriers, medical/dental devices and instruments, automotive or aerospace components, direct mail pieces and packaged goods, consistent with identifying, matching, sorting, tracking, or verifying these products as they move through various laboratory, manufacturing or material handling processes.
