"There are few educational venues in the industry that provide basic education on transportation and logistics in a quick, easy-to-understand, and affordable format," says Brian Everett, executive director. "NASSTRAC has taken the lead to fill this need in the marketplace by creating a seminar that covers all of the basics." The day-and-a-half seminar is designed to cover fundamental topics necessary for a professional responsible for logistics to be successful, including the modes of transportation available, emerging trends in the industry, technologies available, trade and compliance issues, legal requirements, and best practices in logistics. NASSTRAC launched it's "Logistics 101" series in Chicago last February.

NASSTRAC provides education, professional networking, provider relationships, and advocacy for transportation and logistics professionals. According to Everett, "Whether you're a line supervisor entering the transportation profession or a senior executive suddenly charged with logistics responsibilities, this seminar will be valuable to attend."

Registration fees for members of NASSTRAC are U.S. $295 or $395 for nonmembers if registered by the early bird deadline of Sept. 2. Registration fees after that date are $345 for members and $445 for nonmembers. Companies with three or more attendees are eligible for an additional discount of 10 percent.
