The NPTA Alliance (Farmingdale, N.Y.), a trade association representing the $60 billion distribution industry for paper, packaging materials, systems and supplies, announced that it will launch a new trade show for the industry next year. This new event, named DistripakUSA: The Packaging Materials & Systems Marketplace, will be co-located with ISSA/INTERCLEAN, a trade show that draws more than 16,000 attendees from the cleaning industry in more than 83 countries. Both events will be held in Chicago, October 4-7, 2006.
DistripakUSA will focus on packaging material and supplies, including the equipment utilized by packagers, packaging systems and support, plus shipping room supplies and foodservice packaging materials handled by distributors. The show will be open to distributors, suppliers, manufacturers’ reps and customers (in a limited way), and will feature the materials needed by tens of thousands of companies throughout North America to package, handle and store their products.
“With DistripakUSA,” said Mike Keneally, NPTA alliance chairman of the board and vice president of Accutech Packaging, “we have answered the call from our members who have told us that there is no single venue that serves their needs for sourcing products,”
