Packaging professionals from around the world can avoid long on-site registration lines and save 50 percent on entry fees for PACK EXPO International 2004 (November 7-11 at Chicago’s McCormick Place) by visiting the show’s official Web site.

Registration for the show via www.packexpo.com on or before October 15, 2004, will cost $25 per person. Packagers registering at McCormick Place or online after October 15 will be charged the full admission rate of $50. This single admission fee allows access to exhibits for the five-day exposition and includes entrance to the co-located Food Processing Machinery EXPO (formerly IEFP), sponsored and produced by Food Processing Machinery Association (FPMA).

Attendees will also have access to several new pavilions that have been added to PACK EXPO International 2004. The show’s new Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Pavilion will feature solutions that meet the requirements of the entire supply chain, while its Packaging Security Resource Center will highlight a full spectrum of new product protection solutions offering a range of added safety measures. In addition, attendees can visit the new Confectionery Pavilion at the Food Processing Machinery EXPO to see the latest developments in both processing and packaging technology.

Entrance to the Showcase of Packaging Innovations, featuring the most innovative and award-winning package designs of 2004, is also covered by the entry fee.

Sponsored and produced by the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (PMMI), PACK EXPO International 2004 will feature more than 1,900 machinery, material, components and containers exhibitors utilizing 1.3 million net square feet of exhibit space. Thousands of packaging solutions will be available to the more than 47,000 decision-makers and purchasing influencers who are expected to attend, including 6,000 international visitors from more than 70 countries.

In addition to registration, www.packexpo.com offers packagers an opportunity to maximize their time at PACK EXPO by preplanning their show schedule. An up-to-date exhibitor list and show floor plans allow attendees to map out a route through the convention center and make appointments in advance. The site also offers hotel reservation service and information about traveling to and getting around Chicago. In addition, as the show approaches, attendees will be able to learn about the latest technology to be exhibited at PACK EXPO International 2004 via the site’s regularly updated Exhibitor Products section.
