SpectraLink Corporation, a manufacturer and supplier of workplace wireless telephone systems, and Psion Teklogix, a global leader in rugged mobile computing devices and wireless LAN system implementation and support, announced that Psion Teklogix will resell SpectraLink's NetLink wireless telephones The agreement provides Psion Teklogix customers with high-quality mobile voice communication that is fully integrated with Psion Teklogix's product line, enabling them to further increase productivity.

SpectraLink's NetLink wireless telephones are rugged devices that are well matched to the harsh work environments in which Psion Teklogix products are used. The agreement provides Psion Teklogix customers with all the features of a desktop telephone in a lightweight, durable wireless handset. Because NetLink wireless telephones use the same wireless infrastructure as Psion Teklogix devices, customers do not have to install a separate wireless infrastructure to support voice.

NetLink Wireless Telephones allow for converged mobile voice and data on a single wireless infrastructure by operating as client devices on wireless LANs. This allows enterprises to leverage their wireless LAN infrastructure investment for both voice and data devices. SpectraLink Voice Priority (SVP), a quality of service (QoS) mechanism, has been implemented in the Psion Teklogix 9150T wireless gateway access points to ensure excellent voice quality over converged wireless networks.
