Pack Expo Las Vegas 2005, produced by the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (PMMI, Arlington, Va.), continued its growth trend by breaking several attendance records and increasing the number of exhibitors and net square footage in record numbers.
The show, held September 26-28 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, set new highs in visitor attendance (+19%), exhibitor attendance (+12%), total attendance (+17%), international attendance (+22%), exhibiting companies (+23%) and net square footage (+14%).
“With 85% of attendees coming to the show with projects in hand,” said Charles D. Yuska, PMMI president, “the show was able to connect thousands of packaging professionals and their company’s projects with the innovative solutions offered by exhibitors.”
Statistics from this year’s show include:
• Visitor attendance 21,907;
• International attendees (included in visitor #) 2,773;
• Countries represented 63;
• Exhibitor personnel 11,247;
• Total attendance 33,154;
• Exhibiting Companies 1,149;
• Net Square Footage 483,608.
