NEW BREMEN, Ohio — For lift truck operators, performance and control are always uppermost in their minds. Crown Equipment Corporation delivers with its new SC 4500 Series sit-down counterbalance lift truck. Engineered to create long-term value, Crown carefully integrates every component of the SC 4500 Series creating an optimized lift truck system.

Several innovations help operators and owners realize increased uptime and the lowest cost of ownership:

  • Access 123® Comprehensive System Control monitors and controls all systems on the SC 4500 Series to ensure superior performance and reliability.
  • The Intrinsic Stability System helps keep the SC 4500 in a safe operating condition by monitoring performance based on the current operating environment such as the lift truck’s direction, speed, wheel angle, fork position and the weight of its load.
  • The new e-GENTM Braking System significantly reduces maintenance costs by eliminating adjustments, fluid leaks and other wearable parts. The system leverages the torque of the Crown AC motors with other integrated systems, replacing traditional maintenance-intensive brakes. In addition to consistent pedal feel, the e-GEN system also provides variable motor braking and an automatic parking brake.
  • The InfoPoint® System delivers faster, simpler and higher quality service and troubleshooting with quick reference guides and on-truck component maps.
“The technology on the SC 4500 gives managers and operators a lift truck that performs well in a variety of applications,”
said Crown Senior Marketing Product Manager Matt Ranly. “Crown carefully manages the technology on our lift trucks, incorporating it when it works for the owner, operator and application.” In addition to power and control, Crown’s focus on enhancing safety and productivity is evident. For example, the operator-forward seating and mast design maximizes visibility. In fact, operators of the SC 4500 can see up to 30 percent more fork area compared to the competition. More visibility helps to build operator confidence, boosting productivity. Contact: Dave Helmstetter Crown Equipment Corporation (419) 629-2311[email protected]
