Skyjack Inc. (Guelph, Ontario), a Linamar Co., has acquired telehandler manufacturer Carelift Equipment Limited, a telehandler business based in Breslau, Ontario.
This acquisition will allow Skyjack to capitalize on a new aerial work platform called the ZoomBoom, according to Linamar.
Linamar will continue the current lease on the existing Carelift site in Breslau, Ontario, and retain the company’s existing 60 employees. Linamar said its long-term plan is to structure the telehandler business, managed by Skyjack, under Linamar’s industrial group.
Financial details will be reviewed during Linamar’s quarterly conference call in November.
