IRVINE, Calif. (August 4, 2003) –Toyota Material Handling, U.S.A., Inc. (TMHU) today unveiled its newly renovated consumer Web site, www.toyotaforklift.com. The comprehensive new site uses the company's existing URL, and has been thoroughly reconstructed to provide lift truck consumers with tools to assess their operations and determine the best solution for their specific material handling needs. In celebration of the new Web site, registered users have an opportunity to win a Toshiba flat screen television between now and September 30, 2003.

TMHU is the number one selling, full-line lift truck manufacturer in the U.S, and offers a wide range of products for virtually every material handling application. Visitors to toyotaforklift.com can evaluate products based on their business needs. The easy-to-navigate site provides in-depth product information, a "needs assessment" tool and dealer information to help customers find their nearest Toyota dealer.

"At Toyota, customer needs drive every business decision that we make, from technology and safety innovation to how we market our products. Toyotaforklift.com further represents this commitment," said Dr. Shankar Basu, president and CEO of TMHU. "This new site was designed with the primary purpose of helping customers identify solutions for their business needs, and gain more information on the various 'consideration factors' when selecting a lift truck."

In-depth product information

Consumers or visitors to toyotaforklift.com will have access to the "needs assessment" tool, which asks a series of questions about their operations and responds with a specific set of product recommendations based on that input

TMHU offers a full line of lift trucks, and complex product information is organized to make navigation and research simple and intuitive. Customers may search for information by industry, lift truck category, power source or even type of tire. Once a customer has completed a search, a brief summary of products that meet that visitor's specific needs is listed. The visitor then has an option to look at more detailed information such as technology specifications, ergonomics and safety features, and also an option to find their local dealer.

A walk-around demo section provides a look at specific product and safety highlights of Toyota's 7-Series, such as the System of Active Stability (SAS) and the improved operator restraint system, which can enhance operator safety, performance and comfort.

Finding the right dealer

Toyota has a nationwide network of 78 authorized dealers and 183 dealership locations that offer new Toyota Industrial Equipment products and also Toyota Certified Used lift trucks. In addition, Toyota dealers are the best resource for Toyota Genuine Parts and service, offering factory-trained service technicians and STARLIFT all-make parts. By using the simple dealer locator on toyotaforklift.com, consumers can easily find the nearest Toyota dealer by ZIP code.

National Accounts and Fleet Sales

For some customers with material handling facilities across a large region, a Toyota National Account can be the most cost-effective solution for improving operating efficiency. For other organizations, especially those focused on core business growth, a Toyota Fleet Sales program that offers the convenience of maintenance and asset management, without the burden of ownership, may be the best answer. Additional information on both of these programs is available on toyotaforklift.com.

TMHU was established in 1967 and is headquartered in Irvine, Calif. The company offers a full line of high-quality lift trucks sold under the Toyota Industrial Equipment brand. For more information on TMHU, please visit www.toyotaforklift.com.
