The large selection of chains and available stainless steel components adds new capabilities to VarioFlow, especially in the Food and Packaging Industries.

Bosch Rexroth has introduced a new flexible chain conveyor system, VarioFlowTMS. Companion to the existing VarioFlowTM product line, the new conveyor system includes chain widths, chain styles and even new stainless steel options for applications with stringent hygiene requirements.

Acquired from Flex Industries in October 2003, VarioFlow S includes chain conveyors in 80, 100, 160, 240 and 320-millimeter widths. Besides the aluminum profiles and side guide rails, a stainless steel version is also available for use in the food and packaging industries and is highly configurable for unique transport and accumulation requirements. An open-channel conveyor profile design minimizes product build-up on conveyor surfaces and optimizes access for cleaning on filling line and in food, personal care products, and pharmaceutical processing and packaging operations.

New cleated chain types provide additional application flexibility: universal, accumulation roller and roller cleat. Users can easily equip the universal chain with their own cleats or fixtures, thereby making custom chains for specific situations. The accumulation roller chain ensures low surface wear during transport and prevents product from bottlenecking. The accumulating roller chain for example ensures not only a lower impact pressure, but also prevents abrasions on the printed surfaces of the packaging. The static friction chains and roller-cleated chains are ideal for more complex conveying tasks involving different elevations, with the products being transported on both inclines and declines without complex synchronization tasks. For vertical transport, a wedge conveyor now provides new space-saving options.

Fully compatible with the extensive Rexroth modular aluminum profile system, VarioFlow fits easily together with these standard components for customized applications. As with all Rexroth products, the unparalleled financial and technological leadership of Bosch Rexroth ensures ready availability of products and services worldwide.

In North America, the Bosch Group manufacturers and markets automotive original equipment and aftermarket products, industrial automation and mobile products, power tools and accessories, security technology, packaging equipment and household appliances.
