VICS Seeks Nominations for Collaborative Commerce Awards

The Voluntary Interindustry Commerce Solutions Association (VICS) is calling for nominations for the 2010 Collaborative Commerce Achievement awards.

Nominations are open to retailers, manufacturers, suppliers and technology providers. All nominations must include a business challenge, business answer, technological innovation, measurable percentage-based ROI, time frame, level of difficulty and benefits. Awards finalists for each category will be notified prior to the VICS 2010 Conference and will be invited to the Awards Ceremony and Board Dinner.

Awards categories include retail excellence, supply-side excellence, CPFR (collaborative planning, forecasting and replenishment) implementation excellence, empty miles top contributor, sustainability excellence and best third-party provider.

VICS will present the awards to companies, teams or departments with notable achievements in supply chain collaboration at a June 8, 2010, banquet ceremony in San Antonio.

VICS also is accepting nominations for the 2010 Roger Milliken Career Achievement award, which is presented to an individual who has demonstrated leadership through support and utilization of VICS and GS1 standards and standards committee participation. Tom Cole, vice chairman of Macy’s, received the award in 2009.

The deadline for submitting nominations is March 26, 2010.
