White Systems (Kenilworth, N.J.), and Talyst (Bellvue, Wash.) have reached a long-term arrangement that gives Talyst rights to market White Systems' carousels to its customers. Talyst provides central packaging, labeling, inventory and storage solutions to hospital pharmacies.

“Talyst is going after a broad but distinct slice of hospitals, to provide medication bar-coding and inventory capabilities to the middle-market,” said John C Molloy, president and chief operating officer, White Systems. “By combining our inventory and storage advantages with Talyst’s software, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. This arrangement should help advance both companies to their next levels.”

Affiliating with White Systems reportedly gives Talyst customers more options and ensures consistency, while providing equipment that is manufactured domestically. The two companies also agreed to collaborate to develop next-generation carousels that are specifically suited to pharmacy and other health care needs.
