UPS Joins Trend to Charge by Package Dimensions

Following rival FedEx Corp., UPS will start charging by package size instead of weight for domestic ground service delivery.

As the logistics giants struggle with rising fuel costs, UPS is following FedEx’s move last May to price packages based on size rather than weight.  The pricing change will take effect Dec. 29, and will also include packages to Canada.
