Cost increases and a fall in prices has led TNT Post to carry out a number of cost-saving initiatives which caused its labor unions to raise questions about the necessity for those changes. At the request of the trade unions and the Operations Works Council at TNT Post, Boston Consulting Group (BCG) conducted an independent study over a four week period to gain a better understanding of the analyses underlying the cost-saving initiatives announced by TNT.

The study confirms that the plans are necessary and realistic. BCG also concluded additional measures may be necessary if prices drop further or costs increase.

“The parties involved view the results of the BCG study as key input for ongoing negotiations,” said TNT.
