U.S. Xpress acquires minority stake in TTMS

Truckload carrier U.S. Xpress Enterprises Inc. has acquired 41% of Total Transportation of Mississippi (TTMS), a $67 million truckload carrier servicing the U.S. Southeast.

The deal is structured similar to a deal U.S. Xpress made with Arnold Transportation in 2004 in which it held a minority interest with the option to acquire the Arnold management's majority interest.
