The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Customs and Border Protection (CBP) certified Menlo Worldwide Forwarding as a participant in C-TPAT. The group, which was certified in the categories of air consolidator, NVOCC, and ocean transport intermediary, had previously been awarded C-TPAT certification as a customs broker. To keep its C-TPAT certification, Menlo Worldwide Forwarding must maintain a complete and detailed security plan, which must be available to CBP upon request. In addition, it must develop a self-policing program that will review security procedures on a regular basis. For more information on C-TPAT, www.cbp.gov
