Record-Setting U.S. Imports in December Indicate a Trend

Although imports to the U.S. exhibited the usual decrease following October’s holiday surge, December ended with the highest number of imports for any December since 2007, according to Panjiva’s most recent analysis of trade data.  The firm’s analysts say this continues the trend of record setting import numbers exhibited throughout the latter half of 2013.
