Non-vessel operating common carrier (NVOCC) CaroTrans (Union, N.J.) said it has joined with 35-year old Beacon International Despatch Ltd. of Brantford, Ont. which will improve service and transit times for more shippers moving freight from Canada to Australia, New Zealand, and Europe.

“Beacon’s receiving Container Freight States are same day or overnight delivery to the ocean carriers’ receiving terminal,” said John Hepworth, president of CaroTrans. Beacon (www.carotrans.com) offers weekly consolidation services to Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Australia as well as Auckland and Wellington, New Zealand. It also has direct service to London, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Bremen, and Antwerp in Europe.
