Michael McBreen has been named v.p., supply chain and logistics for Furniture Brands International, Inc. (St. Louis). Since 2004 McBreen was director of global apparel operations and strategic planning for Nike, Inc.
"Our business model poses many supply chain and logistic challenges," said W.G. Holliman, the company's chairman and CEO. "The opportunity to greatly reduce our costs is significant, and at the same time we must continue to fulfill ever increasing consumer expectations of a timely and reliable delivery. We expect Mike to have a tremendous impact on our business."
Furniture Brands International is one of the largest residential furniture companies headquartered in the United States. It produces, sources and markets products under brands that include Broyhill, Lane, Thomasville, Henredon, Drexel Heritage and Maitland-Smith.
