Toyota Opens a Customer Center, Changes Management

“Our customers drive our business,” says Dr. Shankar Basu, president and CEO of Toyota Material Handling, U.S.A. “Our National Customer Center marks a commitment to our customers and embodies the level of support we provide our customers on a daily basis.”

Among its 25 rooms, the National Customer Center includes a 360-degree showroom, a state-of-the-art amphitheater with theater seating and demonstration room for customer-specific lift truck demonstrations. Additionally, there are training rooms, a technical lab, business centers, a 109,000 square foot distribution center and dealer support offices.

In addition to its coverage of Mexico and Canada, Toyota Industrial Equipment has 70 authorized dealers, with 186 dealerships, throughout the U.S.
