AutomationDirect’s safety products offering now includes non-contact locking safety switches. IDEM’s MGL Series of safety switches combines magnetic locking and radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology to provide non-contact operation with a high degree of anti-tamper protection, making them virtually impossible to override.

Heavy-duty or medium-duty holding force models are available in either master coded or uniquely coded actuation configurations.

These safety switches feature plastic, die cast metal or stainless steel housings; stainless steel housings have an IP69K rating for use in food processing applications. Additional features include two normally-closed overload-protected safety outputs and one normally-open auxiliary output for door open indication; two LEDs, clearly visible on either side of the cable exit point, indicate all the possible switch states.
