Bell and Howell has introduced PackRobot, which applies intelligent systems technology for consumer delivery and pickup of parcels and packages. Designed for indoor or outdoor environments, and thanks to adjustable internal climate control, PackRobot can be used for applications ranging from standard e-commerce parcel delivery to those with temperature-sensitive food and groceries.
Unlike traditional smart lockers that use a fixed number of pre-set locker sizes, PackRobot measures each parcel’s dimensions and uses a patented 3-D lift system that dynamically configures a locker slot to optimally secure the parcel. It combines Internet-of-Things technologies with consumer-friendly, space-efficient ergonomic design to bring smart locker concept to new environments.
PackRobot is manufactured by Estonian tech company Cleveron.
