Material Handling in Dangerous Places

Sept. 4, 2014
Let these examples of hazardous material handling inspire you to treat safety in any environment as a matter of life or death.

After seeing a demo of a specialized automated guided vehicle designed for use in a Canadian nuclear power plant, MH&L thought it would be interesting to take a closer look at some of the environments where the design of material handling and logistics equipment is key to safety. As we mentioned in our blog, the purpose of using an AGV to move material in a nuclear power plant is to minimize the number of people who have to work there. Safety in such environments MUST be top of mind because it can mean the difference between life or death. This gallery is meant to inspire a similar frame of mind for ALL work environments.
