Nov. 14, 2013
MakerBot, DonorsChoose.org, America Makes, and Autodesk, are teaming up to get MakerBot Desktop 3D Printers into school classrooms.

MakerBot, DonorsChoose.org, America Makes, and Autodesk, are teaming up to get MakerBot Desktop 3D Printers into school classrooms. Each MakerBot Academy bundle contains a MakerBot Replicator 2 Desktop 3D Printer, three spools of MakerBot PLA Filament, and a full year of the MakerBot MakerCare Service and Protection Plan. MakerBot will also support teachers with the development of ongoing 3D printing curriculum that teachers can participate in and utilize in the classroom.  With the idea that collaboration and education are key components to keep the U.S. workforce competitive and innovative, donors to this effort are encouraged to visit DonorsChoose.org and pledge to help fund a MakerBot Academy 3D Printing package.
