FRAMINGHAM, Mass. -- LAMPS PLUS® Inc., the largest specialty lighting chain in the U.S., has selected the Avery Dennison InfoChain Express™ (www.infochain.averydennison.com) supply chain management solution for managing import vendor compliance and tracking purchase orders.
In addition, as a supplier to other retailers, the lighting company will use InfoChain Express as both a buyer and a supplier. Chris Pfister, marketing & alliance manager for InfoChain Express, made the announcement. InfoChain Express is a business unit of Avery Dennison Retail Information Services, a global leader in product identification.
Able to operate as a fully automated Web-based system, InfoChain Express is a workflow engine that will take orders from LAMPS PLUS and make them available to the appropriate vendors virtually anywhere in the world. The suppliers will then download and fulfill the orders. In addition to ensuring vendor compliance through scanning, packing and the creation of carton labels, InfoChain Express’ output will include electronically generated packing lists and advanced shipping notices (ASNs).
With decades of experience in retail information management and offices in more than 39 countries, Avery Dennison anticipates rapid and trouble-free rollout of InfoChain Express to LAMPS PLUS’ many suppliers.
