Promising labor reduction, reduced safety stock, reduced shrink and real-time visibility of assets, Checkpoint Systems, Inc. has introduced an electronic product code/radio frequency identification (EPC/RFID) solution aimed at serving retailers and consumer packaged goods (CPG) suppliers.

EPC/RFID identifies individual items, sending date without the need for line-of-sight communications. Advantages for retailers cited by Checkpoint include having real-time data on inventory, better checkout accuracy and enhanced return logistics, among others.

CPG improvements noted by the manufacturer include streamlined shipping and receiving, more accuracy in order selection and faster loading times. www.checkpointsystems.com.
