The US-based material handing solutions company did not disclose details of the transaction. The acquisition is part of a three-year plan Daifuku has for expanding and strengthening its overseas business. Daifuku said it would position Webb as a new core business within the Daifuku group. The two companies have very little overlap in customers or products and, in fact, the two material handling systems manufacturers have had a long-term technological partnership since 1957.
