March Conveyor Orders Up 31 Percent Month Over Month

Although the Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association reported that March 2014 booked orders decreased 2.1% when compared to March 2013 orders, orders were up 31.2% when compared to February 2014.

March booked orders were up 22.8% for bulk handling equipment and up 18.0% for unit handling equipment when compared to February.

CEMA’s March 2014 billed sales (shipments) increased by 4.2% when compared to March 2013 sales. March 2014 billed sales when compared to February 2014 billed sales were up 8.4%.

March Billed Sales were up 35.9% for bulk handling equipment and up 3.2% for unit handling equipment when compared to February.
