PMMI, the producer of the PACK EXPO family of trade shows, has signed an agreement with the Association for Automatic Identification and Mobility (AIM) to co-locate AIM Expo 2011 with PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2011 (Sept. 26-28; Las Vegas, Nev.)

The AIM Expo conference program will include tracks on government, healthcare, manufacturing, mobile workforce and retail. “Auto ID in Packaging” and “Internet of Things,” two new sessions, will identify state-of-the-art applications and solutions to improve operations, streamline production, reduce costs and enhance overall business processes.

“The event will address the need for ongoing education about the use of bar codes, RFID, and mobile computing technologies,” said Chuck Evanhoe, AIM Expo Chairman. “The addition of a packaging track this year should be of interest to the broad audience of PACK EXPO attendees.”

The AIM Expo conference will complement the existing Conference at PACK EXPO program, which provides insight into the trends affecting modern packaging and processing operations. PMMI has partnered with the Reusable Packaging Association (RPA), the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP), the International Society of Beverage Technologists (ISBT), and PMMI’s own Alliance for Innovation and Operational Excellence (AIOE) to deliver educational content.

The conference will also feature presentations on Total Cost of Ownership and The FDA’s new Food Modernization Act over three days of sessions led by representatives from companies like Bush Brothers & Co. and Coca-Cola Co.
