The Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) will be redeveloping its Massport Marine Terminal (MMT) as an intermodal cargo warehouse and bulk storage facility. Marine Terminal Development LLC (MTD) will be leading the work.

The proposal from MTD looks to developing a state-of-the-art logistics and break bulk facility on 30 acres at the MMT. The three warehouses to be built will offer 470,400 square feet of space. Aim of the new facility is to include companies engaged in freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain management, seafood processing and cold storage. An additional 6.3 acres will be used to import, store and distribute bulk commodities such as cement, salt and forest products.
