How to Prepare for Future Supply Chain Relationships

May 7, 2014
3PL Summit focuses on key roles among customers and service providers throughout all industry supply chains.

As e-commerce and the demand for same-day and other services add complexity to supply chain relationships, it will become more important to get the details right when drafting contracts. That’s the premise upon which Kate Vitasek is building her executive workshop to be held at the 12th Annual North American 3PL Summit & Chief Supply Chain Officer Forum, June 11-13, 2014, at the Radisson Blu Aqua, Chicago.

Vitasek is a member of the faculty and lead researcher, at Vested, part of the University of Tennessee. She will offer insights into the mistakes too often made when structuring and negotiating a 3PL contract. Attendees will also learn the key factors to consider when renewing existing contracts, and how re-invigorating a current relationship can often provide the best solution. Vitasek will analyze 10 essential components every 3PL contract should have and outline how to do a complete diagnostic on an existing 3PL contract.

Other workshops:

  • Delivering Supply Chain Innovation by Breaking the Rules, offered by Rich Sherman, and Bob Sabath, Trissential
  • Reinventing the 3PL Model: Next Generation Challenges and Opportunities, offered by Valerie Bonebrake, Senior Vice President, Tompkins International and Bruce Tompkins, Executive Director, Tompkins Supply Chain Consortium.
