Not only will attendees be able to meet with more than 20 sponsoring technology companies that are leaders in adoption of RFID, but presentation of a multi-media presentation, “The Incredible Visible Product,” will helps demonstrate how the technology works within supply chains.

“D-Day for RFID appears to be January 2005,” says Richard E. Ward, Material Handling Industry of America (MHIA) executive vice president of Professional Development, noting the deadline set by Wal-Mart and the U.S. Department of Defense, among others, for implementation of the technology. “The real impact will come later as the value proposition for all supply chain partners becomes better understood and the focus on deployment spreads up and down supply chains throughout the economy.”

As MHIA describes it, ProMat 2005 is the largest and most comprehensive material handling and logistics show and conference held in the U.S. Selected by the U.S. Department of Commerce as an International Buyer Program Event, in addition to its more than 700 exhibitors and RFID Knowledge Center, there will be four additional Solution Centers located on the show floor.

• Center for Fulfillment & Delivery Solutions;

• Center for Equipment Components & Manufacturing Solutions;

• Center for Assembly Logistics & Support Solutions;

• Center for Information Technology (IT) Solutions.
