The new Model PD-1C Pallet Detector from Sky-Trax Inc. (New Castle, Del.) indicates pallet acquisition on board lift trucks with an electronic signal. Designed primarily for use with automated systems requiring digital “load on-board” and “no load on-board” verification, the Pallet Detector also verifies correct pallet placement on the forks where visibility is restricted.

Small, opto-electronic (using light in its operation) devices in the Pallet Detector allow for rapid sensing of “load” and “no load” conditions and offers adjustable sensitivity and “on/off” trigger points. The Pallet Detector is made of heavy-duty stainless steel and uses little power, according to the company.
