On Saturday, June 2, The Raymond Corporation celebrated the company's 85th anniversary with a special celebration for employees and the local community at its headquarters in Greene, N.Y. In addition to the employees and their families, a number of local and state politicians were in attendance, as well as representatives from its parent, Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO) and Toyota Material Handling, U.S.A., Inc.
President and CEO Jim Malvaso attributed the company's longevity to its ability to compete in the global market. Looking forward, he noted that the company is well positioned for the future, having consolidated production of Class-3 vehicles at its factory in Muscatine, Iowa, and reach-truck production at its facility in Brantford, Ontario. He thanked the company's employees for their efforts, and expressed his belief in their ability to keep the company in a leadership position.
