SCHAUMBURG, Ill.—Even if there’s no search for employment at the moment, skills may be updated in Omron University’s hands-on, small classes aimed at solving real-life application problems.
These industrial automation courses are designed to develop proficiency in design and use of systems that use motion control, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), communications networks and human-machine interfaces (HMIs).
Proficiency tests are administered at the conclusion of each course and an Omron certificate of training completion is given. It’s possible to complete two courses in one week, becoming proficient in basic and advanced PLC programming or the basics of both PLC programming and HMI project design.
