Cargotec’s Kalmar ECF50-90 series electric pneumatic forklifts feature AC power technology and offer an environmentally friendly alternative for lifting loads between 11,000 – 19,800 lbs. It’s also an attractive option for diesel-powered forklift users who will see new regulations for 75 – 173 hp engines starting in 2012.

Using AC technology, the motors and pumps are more responsive for improved drivability. There are fewer mechanical parts and no carbon brushes or contactors for directional switching, further reducing the need for maintenance and replacement parts. Regenerative systems enable the battery charge to be replenished when the vehicle is decelerating and when braking.
