Minneapolis, Minn., SICK, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of sensors, safety systems and automatic identification products for industrial applications, today announced the M4000 Standard multiple light beam safety device - an innovative access guarding solution.
The M4000 Standard multiple light beam safety device from SICK offers maximum mounting flexibility via 3 groove housing and swivel mount end caps. It protects a perimeter up to 70 meters with beam spacing of 300, 400, 450, 500, and 600 mm. The M4000 is ideal for guarding robot cells, manufacturing cells, an opening in a fence, and more. Using corner mirrors enables the M4000 to protect up to 4-sided applications, such as for an entire robot cell (360-degree protection). This new perimeter guard enables fast installation and easy commissioning – with no PC required. The integrated LED status indicator mounted on the end cap is visible from any direction, saving time.
The M4000 can be directly linked to the AS-Interface Safety-At-Work bus via an integrated interface. And, an integrated visible laser alignment function enables quick and easy alignment.
The M4000 Standard is fully compliant, including OSHA, ANSI B11.19, ANSI B11.20, ANSI/RIA R15.06 & CSA Z434 compliant - UL/cULus listed, CE per IEC 61496-1, 2, IEC 61508 SIL 3.
