APL Logistics will manage the 40,000 square foot Dow Corning North American DC at Shepherdsville, KY. It will also manage land transportation services for Dow Corning products shipped Mexico and the domestic U.S. markets.
In commenting on the contract renewal, Dow Corning said that APL Logistics demonstrated performance in cost per kilogram of freight under management; response time when supply chain issues arose; and on-time cargo delivery record weighed heavily in the choice.
