MHEDA Plans Annual Convention

VERNON HILLS, Ill.–The Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association (MHEDA) will kick off its 54th annual convention May 2-6 at the JW Marriott Desert Springs in Palm Desert, Calif.

Convention highlights include 15 presentations, a three-hour exhibitors’ showcase networking roundtable session facilitated by industry leaders and organized tours of local attractions.

The presentations will address critical issues impacting the material handling community, including: profitability, keys to sales success, credit and collections, negotiations, pricing optimization, Web site optimization, professional relationships, customer service, customer loyalty and economic trends.

The exhibitors’ showcase is a tabletop tradeshow that features more than 90 companies that provide goods and services to meet customers’ needs. This event will take place Monday, May 4 from 9:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. The Showcase will re-open once again for a Happy Hour reception from 4:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m., allowing for more networking.

The networking roundtable session will take place on Monday, May 4th from 2:45 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. This session will give convention attendees the opportunity to discuss a variety of timely issues in a structured, facilitated format.
