On Sept. 14, a huge blaze destroyed two Knight Transportation warehouses in Phoenix, according to the Associated Press. The fire started in a 200-yard-long stack of wood pallets and consumed 30 trailers at a loading dock. Knight Transportation had been refurbishing wood pallets in the warehouses, according to the AP reports.

At least 150 firefighters responded to the fire, and nearby businesses were evacuated. Firefighters successfully contained the fire and prevented it from reaching a third warehouse containing pool chemicals.

The flames destroyed power lines, and explosions could be heard, according to AP reports. The official cause of the fire was unclear at press time, although some reports blamed a blown transformer. No injuries were reported.
